  Last Week's InTouch...

Saturday July 14th 2007

Last InTouch was quite informal. Everyone had spent the afternoon down at MacArthur Park and this was a time to unwind, jump in the pool and chill out.

We did see the surprising manifestation of various violent tendencies once the guys (Don and Justin) located the water pistols. However their attempt at creating a revolutionary dictatorship over Basileia were soon quelled by Suzanne, who about to leave for a less violent conflict in Darfur, and was apparently able to fight back completely unfazed while standing up in the deep end.

Last week we covered some of the contents of chapter 1 of Jim Rutz's book Megashift. This chapter was designed to bring the Christian culture of miracles and rapid church growth from overseas to North America. We asked questions like:

  1. Why don't these things happen more commonly in North America and Western Europe?
  2. What will it take to see these things happening here?
  3. Can you honestly and clearly see yourself participating in such events? If not, what is it going to take for you to reach that point of gifting and power?
  4. When these miracles start to become common here, how will that impact evangelism and growth through house church circles?

Sorry to all those of you who didn't check in in time to get the right address. If in doubt... call Justin.

Yes. Indeed. It was Mother's Day Eve.

Saturday May 5th 2007

We successfully navigated the shark infested waters of building mountains out of mustard seeds. No... wait, that's not quite right.

For those that couldn't make it, they missed a wonderful treat. Ney, verily I tell you - a blessing! Michelle's mother & father were visiting from Indiana and Michelle's mother made everyone authentic Hoosier-style Chicken Smoothies. You had to be there...

Saturday April 14st 2007

Last week we had a visiting guest speaker, Doug Easterday, who just happened to be teaching at the Los Angeles YWAM base and wandered in out of the cold. Doug spoke on Kingdom events happening around the world that the media isn't reporting. MP3s of the evening are now available:
